I Mary Henwood of Aston
in ye parish of Bampton & County of Oxon widow being weake in
body but of sound & disposing mind & memory do make & ordain
this my Last Will & Testament that is to say first & principally
I commit my immortal soul to Christ Jesus my Alone Redeemer & my
body to ye dust to be decently buried by my executor hereafter
named & my worldly estate I dispose of in ye following manner
Impremis I give to my
son John Henwood my Chattel Lease of one half yard land which
said lease was given me by ye last will & testament of my
husband Edward Henwood & was formerly granted by Tho Hord Esq
late of Coate to John Henwood of Charney by indenture bearing
date on or about ye 8th day of October in ye 21st year of ye
reign of King Charles ye 2nd
My other Chattel Lease
given me by my late husband being of one messuage or tenement
with ye appurtenances there unto belonging I thus dispose of
That which is now in ye occupation of my son John Henwood I give
to him for ye time therein to come & unexpired & that part of ye
land messuage & backside which I now occupy & in which I now
dwell being the last part thereof I give to my son Edward
Henwood for ye time therein to come & unexpired.
Item My Chattel Lease
granted to me by Tho Hord Esq by his Indenture bearing date on
or about the 29th of April Anoque Dom. 1712 of one half yard
lands in ye fields of Aston & Coat with meadow & pasture thereto
belonging I give to my son Edward Henwood for ye time therein to
come & unexpired.
Item I give to my
daughter Joan wife of Tho Clinch one shilling to my daughter
Mary wife of Adin Williams one shilling to my daughter Elizabeth
wife of Thomas Fox one shilling & to my daughter Ann wife of
Thomas Birdseye one shilling
All the rest of my
goods & chattels whatsoever or wheresoever I give to my beloved
son Edward Henwood whom I hereby ordain full & sole Executor of
this my last Will & testament I do hereby revoke all other
wills & ordain this my last Will & Testament In witness whereof
I have hereunto set my hand & seal this 30th day of March in ye
year of our Lord 1723

sworn to perform the same by paying the debts and legacies and
that he .... exhibit ... Inventory .. ... by law required to
whom administration was granted saving the right of all other
persons
