This is the last Will and Testament of me Sarah Heighes of Oakhanger in the parish of Selborne in the County of Southampton, Widow of William Heighes, deceased.

I give and bequeath all my Monies, Securities or Money Rents and Debts due to me and all other my personal estate and effects whatsoever and wheresoever unto my son John Heighes of Oakhanger, aforesaid and my friend Elijah Butler of Alton in the said County, Ironmonger. Upon Trust to convert, collect and get in the same and receive the money to arise therefrom as soon after my decease as the same can conveniently be done, and thereout to pay my Funeral and Testamentary Expenses and Debts.

And after payment thereof Upon Trust to divide the residue of the same Monies into five equal parts or shares and to pay one of such Fifth part or share unto my daughter Lucy Holdaway (Wife of James Holdaway), and to pay one other of such Fifth part or share unto my daughter Sarah Knight (Wife of William Knight), and to pay one other of such Fifth part or share unto my daughter Hannah Lemon (Wife of James Lemon), and to pay one other of such Fifth part or share unto my daughter Avice Prior (Wife of Thomas Prior), and to pay the remaining Fifth part or share unto my said son John Heighes, or suffer him to retain the same for his own use. To whom respectively I hereby give and bequeath the same accordingly for their own use and benefit.

I declare that my said son John Heighes and the said Elijah Butler shall be responsible only for their or his own Acts, Defaults and Receipts and be exempt from all liability for involuntary [Lo??ce] and be at Liberty to deduct and allow each other; all expenses incident to the Execution of the Trusts of this my Will.

I appoint my said son John Heighes and the said Elijah Butler Executors of this my Will and hereby revoke all former Wills by me made.

In witness whereof the said Sarah Heighes, the Testatrix have hereunto set my Hand the Twentieth day of August in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Forty Seven.

Signed and declared by the above named Sarah Heighes (the Testatrix) as and for her last Will and Testament in the presence of us, present and the same time, who in her presence, at her request and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as attesting Witnesses. The same having been first read over to her and which she appeared fully to understand and approve.

On the Sixteenth day of January 1851. This paper writing was exhibited to me as the true last Will and Testament of Sarah Heighes (the Testatrix) who is deceased and John Heighes, her son and Elijah Butler the Executors therein named, were sworn Executors there of in due form of Law. And that to the best of their knowledge, Information and Belief the whole of the Goods, Chattels and Credits of which the said Sarah Heighes died possessed without including a thing on account of the debts due and owing from her are under the value of One Hundred Pounds.
