In the name of God Amen.

I John Heighes of Saint Mary Axe, London, Victualler, do make and publish this my last Will and Testament, in manner and form following, (that is to say) as to all that Messuage and Tenement in which I now dwell in Saint Mary Axe aforesaid and all other my real and personal estate and effects whatsoever and wheresoever. I give, devise and bequeath the same unto my dear wife Ann, and my mother Ann, for and during their joint lives respectively. And from and after their demise I give decease and bequeath the same unto my two brothers Francis and William and their heirs for ever, share and share alike. Subject nevertheless, to the payment of my debts and funeral expenses.

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this Monday, sixth day of November 1788, the mark of [marked – X, not signed] John Heighes. Signed, sealed and published and declared by the said Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us, who at his request have set our names in witnesses thereto.

On the ninth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand, seven hundred and eighty-nine, Administration with the Will annexes of all said singular the Goods and Chattels and Credits of John Heighes, late of the parish of All Hallows on the Wall, London, deceased, was granted to Ann Heighes, Widow, the relict of the said deceased, and out of the universal Sogators for life named in the said Will having been first sworn duly to administer.

No executor being with named within.
