The Will of William Heather
In the Name of God Amen I William Heather of the
Parish of Port Sea in the County of Southton Shipwright being in perfect
health and senses do by these presents appoint my well beloved son Richard
Heather being my Heir to be the Sole Executor of this my last Will and
Testament to dispose of all my Effects _ according to his discretion and
according to my desire hereunto annexed I most humbly bequeath my Soul to
God my maker beseeching his most Gratious Assistance through the Merits of
the Lord Jesus Christ I commit my Body to the Grave in hopes of a joyous
Resurrection this being my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have
hereunto set my Hand and Seal the 17th day of May and in the Year of our
Lord 1748 Wm Heather at Saint Thomas Hospital near London Sealed Published
and Declared in the presence of Us Witnesses Thomas Knaggs Thos Kinchinman
