The Will of Joseph Haynes

 

This is the last Will and Testament of me Joseph Haynes of Swerford in the County of Oxford Innkeeper I give and bequeath all my household goods and furniture plate linen china stock in trade book debts monies and securities for money and other my personal Estate (except Leasehold Estates) unto my Wife Ann Haynes to and for her own use and benefit I give devise and bequeath All that my Messuage or tenement situate on the Eastward side of Philcock Street in Deddington in the County of Oxford now or lately occupied by Joseph Churchill Joseph Mason and John West with the yards gardens and appurtenances thereto belonging unto my said wife and her assigns for and during the term of her natural life And also all that messuage or tenement and bakehouse with the yard garden and appurtenances to the same belonging situate on the Westward side of Philcock Street in Deddington aforesaid and now occupied by Richard French Unto my said wife and her assigns for and during the term of her natural life she keeping the Lease of the same renewed at the proper periods and from and after the decease of my said wife I give and devise the said messuage or tenement on the Eastward side of the said Street with the several yards gardens and appurtenances thereto belonging Unto and to the use of my Son Joseph Haynes his heirs and assigns for ever And I give and bequeath my said other messuage or tenement with the yard garden and appurtenances thereto belonging unto my daughter Susanna Haynes To hold to her her executors and administrators to and for her own use and benefit And I appoint my friends John Mercer of Dunstew in the County of Oxford Innkeeper and Charles Hands of Hooknorton in the same County Innkeeper Executors of this my Will and jointly with my said Wife Guardians of my said children during their respective minorities In witness hereof I have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand this seventeenth day of March One thousand eight hundred and fifty two –  The mark of X Joseph Haynes-
