The Will of Dorcas Haynes

 

The Will of the Lord be done I Dorcas Haynes of Sibford Gower alias Burdthrup in the Parish of Swalcliffe in the County of Oxon Widow being in good health and of good and perfect memory and understanding thanks be given unto Almighty God for the same and calling to mind the certainty of death and alsoe the uncertainty of this life I doe this Twenty Nineth day of July in the yeare of our Lord One Thousand seaven hundred and Twenty Six make and ordaine this my last Will and Testament in manner following (that is to say)Imprimis I give unto my daughter Mary Hopkins one shilling Item I give unto my daughter Elizabeth Gilkes one Shilling Item I give unto my daughter Hanna Haynes my Clock Item I give unto my daughter Ann Haynes all the all the ffurniture of goods in my Parlour Chamber Item all the rest of my goods and Chattells ready money bonds bills effects dues debts and personall Estate whatsoever and wheresoever which I is nott before given I do give and bequeath unto my two daughters namely Hanna and Ann Haynes aforesaid equally whome I doe appoint make and ordaine to be my whole Executrixes of this my Will but if either of them dye before they are att lawfull age and not marryed then her portion and part of the Executorship so deceased shall fall to the Survivor of them two out of which they or either of them shall pay all my just debts ffunerall charged and expences And I doe request and desire my loving brother Joshua Wigson of Edon in the County of Northampton and my Kinsman John Burbidge of Aynoe in the County aforesaid to be Trustees and Overseers of my two daughters whilst they are in their minority that is to assist them as in relation to the Executorshipp And also to take care to oversee and advise them in any case that may be needful And lastly I do hereby revoke renounce and annul and make void all former Wills either by word or writeing and do appoint this to stand and remaine as my last Will and Testament the day and yeare first above written Dorcas Haynes signed sealed published and declared by the Testatrix in the sight and presence of Elizabeth Austin    Richard Gilkes junior     Richd Gilkes Sen
