The Will of Ann Haynes

 

In the Name of God Amen I Ann Haynes Widow of the parish of Hooknorton in the County of Oxford being in sound health of mind by the will of God do declare this to be my last will & testament and herein I do nominate & appoint Wm West Senr of the parish of Swerford & Wm Haynes Shopkeeper of the parish of Hooknorton in the County aforesd to be the Executors of this my last will & testament which I bequeath in the following manner being the disposal of a legacy of £80 left me by the will of my uncle Valentine Stephens Mason late of Great Rollright in the County of Oxford Imprimis I give & bequeath to my eldest son David Haynes six pounds of lawful money of Great Britain Sec.dus I give & bequeath to my eldest daughter Hannah Haynes now Godfrey six pounds of lawful money of Great Britain Terts I give & bequeath to my third daughter Susannah Haynes six pounds of lawful money of Great Britain Quarts I give & bequeath to my third daughter Betty Haynes six pounds of lawful money of Great Britain And I give & bequeath to my youngest son George Haynes fifty six pounds of lawful money of Great Britain being the remainder of the herein named eighty pounds I further desire that Wm West Senr & Wm Haynes herein named executors do take care of the said sum in trust for my youngest son George Haynes which principall of 56£ herein bequeathed is to be paid him when at the age of twenty five years with the interest accumulated to that period But if the said George Haynes should die before he attains the age of twenty five years the principal & interest of the said sum of fifty pounds I desire to be equally divided between the herein named legatees as they should be then in survivorship if otherwise the said sum to the longest survivor Finally I do revoke every other will & testament and declare this to be my last will and testament of which I do again nominate & appoint Wm West Senr of Swerford & Wm Haynes Hooknorton aforesd to be sole and acting executors_ Signed sealed published & declared by the said Ann Haynes Widow as & for her last will & testament in the presence of us who in her presence at her request have subscribed my name Ann Haynes_ Witness thereto_ Wm Thorp=Betsey Thorp_ Hooknorton Oxon June 12 1809
