The Will of William Hatch

 

In the Name of God Amen, I William Hatch of Parish of Bramshaw in The County of Wilts, being in Perfect Health and Sound Memory (Blessed be God) do This Day being the Thirteenth Day of August in the year of Our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Seventy Four do make and Publish This my Last Will and Testament in Manner following (That is to Say)

 

Imprimis  I Give to my Beloved Wife Dina Hatch all that my Leasehold Estate called Hatches in The County of Wilts and That my Estate Called Reads in the County of Southton both situate lying and being in the Parish of Bramshaw During her Natural Life but if my beloved wife Dina should die before me my Beloved son James and my beloved Daugter Dina should be Fifteen Years of age Then I give the Income of the two above Estates Equally to be Divided between my son James and Daugter Dina until the youngest of them shall be the age of Fifteen Years, And after the Decease of my Beloved wife Dina I give All that my Estate called Hatches situat lying and being in the Parish of Bramshaw and County of Wilts unto my son William Hatch, only my Son William Hatch shall pay unto my son John Hatch the sum of Ten Pounds after he shall be Possessed of the above said estate one year, Allso I give to my son James Hatch all that my Estate called Reads situat lying and being in the Parish of Bramshaw, and after my son James shall be possessed of the above said Estate one year, my son James shall Pay to my Daughter Dina the sum of Five Pounds, and if it shall happen that my son James Hatch shall die without Heir Then I give the above said Estate to my Daughter Dina called Reads Also I Give to my Son Stephen Hatch the sum of one Pound, also I Give to my Daughter Mary the now wife of John Stokes Four Pounds, also I Give to my Daughter Ann the now Wife of John Lively Four Pounds also I give to my Daughter Christian Andrews widow the sume of Two pounds, My meaning is that my Son William Hatch shall pay all the above said Leagesies Except what is otherwise mentioned, all the Rest Reasadue of my Estate Chattles Money Implements of Husbandry and all and Ever other Thing and Things that I shall die possessed of I give to my beloved wife to  home (sic) I do nominate and Appoint to be my Exectrix.  In Witness whereof I have hereof set my hand and Seal

The Will of William Hatch deced

 

This Will was proved at Sarum on the third day of July 1778 before the Revd John Chafy M.A. lawful Surre of the Re and Worshipful the Communar & Official of the Dean and Chapter of Sarum Hy / of the Effects of the said Deced was granted to Dinah Hatch Widow Relict of the said Deced and Sole Extrx within named (being first sworn to the Truth of the said Will to form the same to make a true and perfect Inventory and or a just Acct when lawfully required
