I Gresham Harvey of Wimborne Minster in the County of
Dorset Widow being at present weak of body but of sound and
perfect mind and memory thanks be given to Almighty God for the
same do make this my last Will and Testament in manner following
first and principally I recommend my Soul to God that gave it
and my Body to the earth from whence it came to be buried
decently at the discretion of my Executors hereafter named and
appointed And as for all my worldly goods which God hath Blessed
me with and bestowed upon me I give and bequeath in manner and
form following Imprims I give to my son in law William
Reek of Uxbridge £5 to be paid him within one year of
my decease Then I give to my daughter Gresham wife of
the said William Reek
the sum of £40 during her natural life and
after her decease the said £40 to be equally divided between
her children that shall survive her. then I give to their son
William Reek £10 to be
paid him within 12 months aftr my decease Then I give to my son
in law John Costin £5 to be paid within twelve months
after my decease Then I give to my Daughter Mary wife of
the said John Costin £40 and Ten Guineas of Gold and
one 2/3rd …… piece
of Gold valued at Threee and Twenty Shillings and Six Pence all
to be for her own use and at her own disposal Then I give to my
son in law William Pottler
five pounds to be paid within twelve months after my decease
Then I give to Elizabeth daughter of the said William
Pottle £30 to be paid her
by my Executors when she shall attain the Age of One and Twenty
Years Then I give to my son in law Richard
Reckes Five Pounds to be
paid within twelve months of my deceased Then I give to
Richard his son Twenty Pounds Then I give to his
Elizabeth his daughter Twenty Pounds and …………. piece of Gold
in value Three and Twenty Shillings and six pence Then I give
to my sister Margaret Bishop ten pounds Then I give to my
Granddaughter Mary Harvey Forty Pounds to be paid within
twelve months after my decease But in case my said Grandaughter
Mary Harvey shall not execute a
General Release
to me before my Death or within twelve months after my death to
my Executors hereinafter named then I give her One Shilling and
no more Then I give to my Son in Law Roger Tilsed five
pounds to be paid him within one year after my decease Then I
give to Anne hi Wife the Use of Twenty Pounds during her
life and after her decease the said Twenty Pounds to be laid out
in repairing? the house she
now lives in Then I give to her son James five pounds to
bring him an Apprentice / Then I give to her daughter
Elizabeth five pounds and
abroad piece of Gold to the value of twenty three
shillings and six pence Then I give to Thomas Tilsed and
Anthony Tilsed sons of the said Roger Tilsed
Five pounds a piece Then I give to my son in law Thomas
Willis Five pounds to be paid within one year after decease
then I give Katherine his wife Fifty Pounds to be for her
own use and at her own disposal and at her pleasure Then I give
to her two daughters Mary and Jane each of the Ten Pounds
and if either of them shall happen to dye before she shall
attain the age of Twenty years or be married the survivor of
them shall have the Twenty Pounds Then I give to my servant
Ann Burt Five Pounds if she lives with me at the time of my
decease Then I give Thomas Frampton son of
John Frampton five pounds to my Grandson William
Reeks Ten Pounds the rest
and residue of my Goods and Chattels whatsoever except such
indoor goods as were given and devised by my late husbands Will
I give and bequeath unto Christopher
Markwell and Mr Henry Haynes
of Wimborne aforesaid and John Warland of Oakley all
living in the said County of Dorset to and for the use of my
Grandsons William Tilsed and John
Recke Also I give to the
said Christopher Markwell,
Henry Haynes and John Warland each of them half a
guinea desiring them to see this my Last Will and testament
duly performed allowing themselves all reasonable charges they
are at about the execution of the same Revoking and making void
all other Wills by me heretofore made in witness whereof I have
hereunto set my hand and seal this Twelfth day of May in the
year of our Lord one Thousand seven hundred and thirteen the
Mark of Gresham Harvey signed sealed published and
declared to be the lat Will and Testament of the said Gresham
Harvey in the presence of J

William Tilsed have Fifty pounds more to his part than my
