I Ambrose Harvey son of Wimborne Minster in the County of
Dorset, Cheesemonger, knowing it is appointed for Man must to
die do make and declare my Last Will and Testament in manner and
form following
. first and principally I
.recommend my
soul to Almighty God who gave it and my own body to the earth to
be decently buries according to the direction of my Executric
hereinafter named as for such Worldly goods which it hath
pleased Almighty God to bestow on me I give devise and bequeath
in manner following Imprimmis
my Will that all my just debts and funeral charges to first be
paid and discharged from all the rest residue and remainder of
my Lands Goods and Chattels that I shall dye possessed of I give
devise and bequeath unto my loving wife Charity Harvey
during her natural life if she so long doth continue a widow in
my name. But in case she shall happen to marry then I give
devise and bequeath unto my son Robert Harvey my
land in Mushell Mead and one
guinea in Gold and the house I now live in I give and bequeath
unto my son Ambrose Harvey
. the said Ambrose Harvey
paying out of the same the sum of £4 yearly unto his sister
Mary now the wife of Isaac Hobby if she becomes a
widow and be in need of the same during her natural life or as
my Trustees shall see convenient and requisite And I give and
bequeath unto my loving son Richard Harvey the house and
garden in West Street And I give and bequeath unto my loving son
John Harvey the ground that I bought of Mr Lewen
and I give unto my son William Harvey the sum of £50 of
Lawful money of Great Britain and I give unto my son James
Harvey the sum of £50 of Lawful Money of Great Britain and I
give unto my son Edward Harvey the sum of £50 of
Lawful money of Great Britain but in case either of my said
sons William, James, or Edward shall happen to die
before their money shall become due or payable that his or their
legaty or legatees so dying shall be equally divided between the
survivor or survivors of them But in case my said wife does
continue and remain a widow that then my Will is that all I dye
possessed of shall be at her disposing and to divide it amongst
my children as she shall think fit and most convenient and
likewise make constitute and appoint the above said Charity
Harvey my loveing wife whole and sole Executrix of this my
Last Will and Testament and do also hereby revoke and make void
all former Wills by me made and do declare this to be my last
and Lastly I desire my loving brother in law Richard Lambert
of Wimborne Minster aforesaid Linnen Weaver and my
kinsman Joseph Miles Mariner to be my friends in
trust to see this my Last Will and Testament duly executed and
whatever charges they shall be put unto in the execution thereof
they shall be reimbursed out of the estate I leave behind me in
Witness whereof I have hereto set my hand and seal this twenty
sisth day of the time and in the first year of His Majestys
