Horatio Nelson Harrop of Trafalgar House,
Audenshaw
He died 30 April 1874 and his will was
proved on the 17 July 1874.
This is the last Will and Testament of me
Horatio Nelson Harrop of Trafalger House, Audenshaw in the
County of Lancaster, Gentleman. I order all my debts, funeral
and testamentary expences to be paid by my executors hereinafter
named.
I give devise and bequeath my house called
Trafalger House in Audenshaw aforesaid wherein I now reside and
the Hereditaments and premises thereinto belonging and all the
goods, furniture, plate and effects in the said house unto my
daughter Martha Mills Harrop, her heirs, executors
administrators and assigns absolutely and as to the rest,
residue and remainder of my real and personal estate and effects
I give devise and bequeath the same unto and equally between and
amongst my seven children, namely James Harrop, Horatio Nelson
Harrop, Amelia Batho, Jane Lawson, Mary Anne Holroyd, Sarah Anne
Morris and the said Martha Mills Harrop their heirs, executors
administrators and assigns absolutely as tenants in common and
rest as joint tenants. And I appoint the said Horatio Nelson
Harrop and James harrop Executors of this my will and hereby
revoking all former will or wills by me at any time hereforeto
made. I do declare this to be my last will and testament, in
witness whereof I have hereto … my hand this Twentieth day of
April in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and
Seventy Four.

Harrop named for his last Will and Testament in the presence of
us whom … his presence at his request and in the presence of
each other have here unto subscribed our names as witnesses

Proved at Manchester the Seventeenth day
of July 1874 by the oaths of Horatio Nelson Harrop and James
Harrop. The sons, the executors to whom administration was
granted. The Testator Horatio Nelson Harrop was late of
Trafalger House, Audenshaw in the County of Lancaster,
Gentleman. And Died on the Thirtieth day of April 1874 at
Trafalger House Aforesaid.
