This is the last Will and Testament of me
Henry Harris of Silton Farm in the parish of Silton in the County of
Dorset Farmer I appoint my sons Edwin Llewellyn Harris and Henry
Harris and my son in law Joseph Colgate Robinson (who and the
survivors or survivor of whom and the executors or administrators of
such survivor or other the Trustees or Trustee for the time being of
this my Will are or is hereinafter called my Trustees) to be the
Executors and Trustees of this my Will. I give all my furniture and
other household effects (but not my dairy utensils) unto my wife
Judith Susanna Harris absolutely. I give devise and bequeath all my
property both real and personal not hereby or by any Codicil hereto
otherwise disposed of unto my trustees upon trust at such time or
times as they in their absolute discretion may determine to sell
call in and convert the same into money and out of the proceeds to
arise therefrom to pay my just debts funeral and testamentary
expenses. And in the next place to invest the sum of six hundred
pounds in or upon such securities or investments as they may
determine whether of a nature strictly authorised as an investment
for Trustees or not and to pay the income arising therefrom unto my
said wife so long as she remains my Widow and at her death or
remarriage I give the said sum of six hundred pounds unto my six
daughters namely Marion Maud Robinson, Florence Eugenie Jane
Roberts, Laura Susanna Parsons Mitchell, Anna Winifred Harris, Helen
Elizabeth Bowden Lear and Constance Louise Mary Harris in equal
shares. I give to each of my said six daughters a legacy of two
hundred pounds apiece payable as to one hundred pounds apiece as
soon after my decease as conveniently may be and as to the remaining
one hundred pounds apiece within five years from my death. And as to
the remainder of my Estate I devise and bequeath the same to my five
sons namely the said Edwin Llewellyn Harris and Henry Harris, George
William Harris, Geoffrey Reginald Silton Harris and Alban Edward
Harris in equal shares. I declare that it is my desire that my said
five sons shall if possible continue the Tenancy of Silton Farm so
as to keep a home for their mother Provided always and I declare
that if any child of mine benefitting under this my Will shall die
in my lifetime leaving a child or children who shall survive me such
child or children shall take and if more than one equally between
them the share which his her or their parent would have taken had he
or she survived me. In witness whereof I have hereunder set my hand
this first day of January one thousand nine hundred and fourteen

1914 Probate of this Will was granted at Blandford to Edwin
Llewellyn Harris, Henry Harris and Joseph Colgate Robinson , the
Executors.
PROBATE
BE IT KNOWN that Henry
Harris of Silton Farm, Silton in the County of Dorset Farmer who at
the time of his death had a fixed place of abode at Silton aforesaid
within the District of the County of Dorset died on the 6th day of
January 1914 at Silton aforesaid.
AND BE IT FUTHER KNOWN that
at the date hereunder written the last will and Testament of the
said deceased was proved and registered in the District Probate
Registry of His Majesty’s High Court of Justice at Blandford and
that the administration of all the estate which by law devolves to
and vests in the personal representative of the said deceased was
granted by the aforesaid Court to Edwin Llewellyn Harris of
Warminghurst Farm, Ashington in the County of Sussex Farmer and
Henry Harris of Silton Farm aforesaid Farmer Sons of the deceased
and Joseph Colgate Robinson of Oatlands, Ilford in the said County
of Sussex Farmer, the Executors named in the Will.
