This is the last Will and
Testament of me Daniel Harris of Stalbridge Weston in the Parish of
Stalbridge County of Dorset I give devise and bequeath unto my dear
Wife the sum of fifty pounds of Lawful Money of Great Brittain and
also all my household goods except the Clock and case which I will
that she shall retain for her life and at her decease I give the
said Clock and case unto Daniel Richard Harris son of my brother
Samuel. I also give and bequeath unto my Natural Daughter Sarah
Parsons the daughter of Ann Parsons the sum of twenty pounds to be
placed in the Savings Bank with the interest accruing thereon when
she shall attain the age of twenty one years to be placed in the
savings Bank as soon as my Executors hereafter named can place the
same. I also give and bequeath unto my brother Samuel the Colt
belonging to Pleasant as well as the cyder mill press and my roller
and I do nominate and appoint my brother in law James Hine my
brother Samuel and my friend William Taylor of Stalbridge my trusts
and executors of this my last Will and Testament to keep on for my
wife’s benefit for the remainder of the term of one year or sooner
determination all the Farm and Lands in my occupation and at the end
of the said term to sell and dispose of the whole of my stock .. and
after paying all my just debts and funeral expenses to place the
money arising therefrom in some good security paying the interest
to my wife for and during her natural life and at her decease to
part the same between my brothers and sisters or their issue share
and share alike. As witness my hand this twenty seventh day of
December 1851
