The Will of James Harrington

 

In the Name of God Amen I James Harrington of Debden in the County of Essex Game Keeper being of sound & disposing mind & memory thanks be to God for the same do make & declare this my last Will & Testament in manner following that is to say I give & bequeath unto Alice my beloved Wife all that my copyhold Messuage or Tenement situate lying & being in Sibble Hedingham in the said County of Essex together with all the Orchards Yards Gardens outhouses & Appurts thereunto belonging & now in the occupation of Henry Brider or his undertenants to hold the said Messuage or Tenement with each & every of the Appurts unto Alice my said Wife for & during the term of her natural life and from & after her the decease of Alice my said Wife I give & bequeath the aford Messuage or Tenement with all the aford premises belonging thereunto unto my son Edward Harrington upon trust nevertheless that he my said son Edward Harrington do with all convenient speed after the decease of my said Wife sell the aford Messuage or Tenement with all the said premises thereunto belonging for the best price that he can or may get for the same & divide the Money arising from such Sale equally between himself & my son William Harrington part & share alike as soon as may be after such Sale & after all my just Debts ffuneral Charges & Probate of this my Will are paid all the rest residue & remainder of all my Monies Security for Money Bills Book Debts Household ffurniture Linen together with all other my Personal Estate whatsoever & wheresoever found I give & bequeath unto Alice my said Wife for her own proper use & I do make & appoint Alice my said Wife Sole Executrix of this my last Will & Testament lastly I make void all former Wills by me heretofore made In Witness whereof I have to this my last Will & Testament set my hand & Seal the Twenty fifth day of March in the Year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred & nine   James X Harrington
