The Will of William Harley

In the name of God Amen the first daie of March in the yeare of our Lord One thousand six hundred fifty seaven I William Harley of the parish of Eastchurch in the
Isle of Sheppey in the County of Kent clerke being weake and sicke in body but of sound and perfect memory and Judgment I give Allmighty God thanks therefore Doe make and ordeyne this my last will and testament in manner following First and before all thinge I comend my soule into the hand of Allmighty God my maker and redeemer confidently beleiving to be a pertaker of the resurrection of the Just through the meritts of Jesus Christ and as concerning my goods I bequeath unto my brother James all my weareing apparell (except my Gowne) Item I give unto Joane the wife of John Risby of Minster in the Isle of Sheppey the Some of Forty shillings to buy her a new Suite of apparell of broade Clothe All the rest of my goods and Chattells whatsoever (my debts Legacies herein bequeathed and funerall expences first paid and deducted) I give and bequeath unto my daughter Margarett to be paid and delivered unto her at the age of fower and twenty yeares or day of her marriage which shall first happen by mine Executors and I make and ordayne my Sonne in lawe Edmond Terry clerke and my loveing Freinds Francis Marsh of Eastchurch aforesaid Co executors of this my last will and testament In witness whereof I have hereunto putt my hand and seale the day and yeare first above written William Harley
