3. Thomas Rowland
Hargreaves (1840-1904)
was a solicitor’s clerk;
he married Annie but
apparently had no
children; he was living
in London at the census
of 1881 and but died in
Lancaster
4. James Hargreaves (b
1841) was an apprentice
joiner living with his
parents in Lancaster in
the 1861 census; I have
not discovered the name
of wife or children, nor
when he died

This is the last will
and testament of me,
Robert Hargreaves of
Lancaster in the county
of Lancaster,
warehouseman
I
appoint my two sons
Christopher John and
Thomas Rowland executors
of this my will
I
give and bequeath all my
personal estate
whatsoever and
wheresoever of which I
shall be possessed at
the time of my decease
unto my said executors
upon trust after payment
of my debts, funeral and
testamentary expenses
from time to time or at
any time to apply the
residue for the benefit
of the widow and
children of my deceased
son James or any or such
of them as they, my said
executors, shall in
their uncontrolled and
absolute discretion
consider to be most for
their advantage
I
revoke all former wills,
in witness whereof I
have hereunto set my
hand this twenty first
day of October one
thousand eight hundred
and seventy nine
