I Richd Hall of Aston in ye Parish of Bampton in ye County of
Oxon Yeoman weake in Body but of Perfect mind & memory praised
be god Doe here make my Last Will & Testement Revokeing all
Other wills ye Seventh Day of October Anno.. Dom. 1720 ffirst I
give & bequeath my Immortal Soule into ye hands of Almighty god
my Maker Trusting most assuredly to be saved by ye Merritts of
Jesus Christ my Saviour & Redeemer & my body to be buried in
earth at ye Descretion of my Executor hereafter Named
Imprimis I give &
bequeath unto my Loveing wife Hester Hall eight pounds a yeare
Dureing her Life to be paid Quarterly by my Executor hereafter
named Item I give and bequeath unto my loveing wife Hester Hall
all my houshold goods & chattles for terme of her life & after
her Decease to my Executor hereafter named Item I give &
bequeath unto my Naturall Daughter Hester Fox my halfe yard of
life land ffree at her owne disposeing dureing her life & ye
life of Roger Fox her husband Item I give & bequeath unto my
Grandson Tho Fox my house & land I bought of John Baston upon
these conditions herein after mentioned & no otherwise that is
to say if he ye said Thos Fox doe marry with Mary Hudson
daughter of Tho Hudson of Aston, then I give & bequeath ye afore
sd house & land unto James Fox & his heirs for ever & farther
upon condition he shall pay unto my grand daughter Elizabeth Fox
tenn pounds within too years after my decease & tenn pounds too
my grandson Roger Fox within too years after my decease which
ever of my grandsons aforesd doe enjoy ye aforesd house & land
shall pay ye aforesd legaceys I give & bequeath unto my
grandson John Fox tenn pounds to be pd by my Executor herein
after named within too years after my decease Item I give &
bequeath unto my grandson James Fox tenn pounds to be paid as
aforesd Item I give & bequeath unto my sister Adnums five
pounds to be pd by my Executor herein after named within too
years after my decease Item I give & bequeath unto Wm Hounslow
twenty shillings when he shall be out of his apprentiship to be
pd by my Executor herein after named Item I give & bequeath unto
John Hounslow one shilling to be pd as aforesd Item I give &
bequeath unto Edwd Hounslow one shilling to be pd as aforesd
Item I give & bequeath unto my kinswoman Mary Hall five pounds
to be paid by my Executor herein after named within too years
after my decease Item I give & bequeath unto my kinsman Stephen
Hall five pounds to be paid by my Executor herein after named
within four years after my decease Item I give & bequeath unto
my grandson Richd Fox all ye rest of my freehold & leasehold
land & comons & mead house & homstall for ever nevertheless upon
condition that my wife shall have free liberty of any room or
rooms in my house I now lives in dureing her life & also paying
her as aforesd & further upon condition that whereas Richd Alder
oweth me eight pounds upon bond my will is that he shall pay
twenty shillings & ye interest yearly & every yeare till ye sume
of eight pounds is paid & my Executor shall not give him any
trouble he paying as aforesd Item I give & bequeath unto my
daughter Hester Fox my brueing kettle after my wife's decease
Item I give & bequeath unto my grandson Richd Fox all ye rest of
my goods & chattles money unbequeathed whatsoever moveable &
unmoveable Quick & Dead whome I doe make my hole & sole Executor
of this my last will & testament to performe & pay all my debts
& legaceys before given & to bury me in earth Item I doe
intreate my son in law Roger Fox & Mr John Fox to be my Trustees
& overseers of this my last will & testament to see all those
things performed before mentioned In witness whereof I ye sd
Richd Hall have hereunto sett my hand & seale ye day & yeare
above written Signed & Sealed with my owne hand in ye presence
of Martha Clintch & Ann Wessen who have hereunto subscribed
their names in witness
