make and ordain this my
last Will and Testament
in manner and form
following ffirst I
recommend my Soul into
the Hands of Almighty
God my Creator and Maker
trusting for Salvation
in and through the only
Merits of Jesus Christ
my blessed Saviour and
Redeemer and my Body I
commit to the Earth to
be decently buried at
the discretion of my
Executors hereinafter
named and as touching
the disposition of my
Worldly Estate and
Effects I give and
dispose of them as
followeth ffirst I give
and bequeath unto my Son
Overbury Hale the Sum of
one pound one shilling
and to my Daughter Sally
Bennett the Sum of fifty
pounds All the rest and
residue of my Money
estates Goods Credits
and Chattles whatsoever
I do hereby give and
bequeath unto my
Daughter Susan Hale
Spinster and I do hereby
make constitute and
appoint my Brother
Philip Dodwell ffellow
of St Mary Magdalen
College in the
University of Oxford and
my said Daughter Susan
Hale joint Executors of
this my last Will and
Testament hereby
revoking all former
Wills by me at any time
before made In Testimony
whereof I have hereunto
