The Will of Thomas Haines

 

This is the last Will and Testament of me Thomas Haines of Hooknorton in the County of Oxford being of a sound Mind and understanding First of all my Just Debts and Funeral Expences be fully paid by my Executor hereinafter mentioned and with respect to my Worldly Substance I dispose of it in manner following Vizt I give and Devise unto my Kinsman Matthew Wyton son of John Wyton Deceased of Hooknorton aforesaid All that my Messuage or Tenement together with all and singular the Appurtenances belonging thereunto in which I now inhabit and dwell and also all that my Cottage or Tenement together with all and singular the Appurtenances thereunto belonging which said Cottage or Tenement is next but one adjoining to my aforesaid Messuage To have and to hold my said Messuage and Cottage or Tenement with all and singular the Appurtenances unto the said Matthew Wyton and his heirs for ever All the rest residue and remainder of my Personal Estate and Effects of all Kinds whatsoever I give and devise unto my Nephew George Phipps son of Richard Phipps of Hooknorton aforesaid whom I constitute and appoint Sole Executor of this my Will revoking disannulling and making void all former and other Wills by me at any time heretofore made In Witness whereof I have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand and seal this twenty eighth day of January in the year 1779 Thomas X Haines his mark
