The Will of Mary Gwillim

 

In the Name of God Amen I Mary Gwillim of the Parish of All Saints in the City of Hereford do make this my last Will and Testament as follows first I order and direct  all my Just Debts and funeral Expences to be paid Item I give and bequeath unto George Terry Esquire and Percivall Lloyd Gentleman the Sum of five hundred Pounds Upon Trust for them and the survivors of them his Executors and Administrators to place out the same at Interest on Government or Real Securities and to pay unto my Neice Mary Clarke for and during the term of her natural life the yearly Interest and Dividends thereof for her Separate Use and from and after her Decease Upon Trust to pay and apply the said Interest Dividends and Yearly proceeds of such five hundred pounds for and towards the Maintenance and Education of her Child and Children until they shall respectively attain the age of twenty one years and attaining that age to pay Transfer and make over the said Principal Sum of five hundred Pounds unto and among the same Child and Children if more than one and equally between and among them share and share alike and in Case of the Deaths of all of the said Children under the age of twenty one years then the said Principal Sum of five hundred Pounds to be payd transferred and made unto my Nephew John Gwillim for his own use and benefit Item I give to each of my Neices Elizabeth Wise and Ann Balzard an annuity of fifteen Pounds to be paid to them for and during their respective natural lives for their separate uses.....by two equal half Yearly Payments in every Year the first Payment thereof to begin and be made at the end of Six Calendar Months next after my Death Item all the Rest Residue and Remainder of my Personal estate whatsoever and wheresoever I give and bequeath the same unto my said Nephew for his own use and benefit and appoint him sole Executor of this my Will and do revoke all former Wills by me made But my Will is that my said Nephew shall as soon as may be after my decease secure to the good liking of the said George Terry and Percivall Lloyd or of the Survivor of them his Executors and Administrators the said several life annuities upon a Competent Part of his my said Nephew’s Real Estate or in default thereof that he shall pay to the said George Terry and Percivall Lloyd or to the Survivor of them his Executors and Administrators out of my said Residuary Estate the sum of Eight hundred Pounds to be by them placed out at Interest on such Securities as aforesaid and the Dividends Interest and yearly proceed thereof or a competent part of the same to be applied from time to time in payment of the said life Annuities In Witness whereof I have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand and Seal this sixth day of August One thousand seven hundred and sixty seven Mary Gwillim
