This is the Last Will and Testament of me George Gude of Rothwell otherwise Rowell in the County of Northampton, Boot and Shoe Maker.

I hereby give to my dear Wife, Ann Gude, the whole of my Personal Property of every description, whatsoever and wheresoever, subject to the payment of my Funeral and Testamentary expences, and all other just debts owing on my account.

I hereby nominate and appoint my said Wife Executrix and Mr Wm Sturges of Leicester, Currier, with Mr John Davis Gotch of Kettering, Currier, Executors of this my Will.  In witness hereof I have set my hand and Seal this twentieth day of August, one thousand eight hundred and Forty two.

Signed, sealed, published, and declared, by the said Testator, George Gude, as and for his last Will and Testament, in the presence of us who in his presence and at his request, and in the presence of each other, have hereunto subscribed our names as Witnesses.

On the 13^th day of September 1842, Ann Gude, widow, of Rowell, and William Sturgess, Currier, of Leicester, and John Davis Gotch, Currier, of Kettering, Executors named in the within Will, were then sworn, well and faithfully to fulfil the same, according to Law, and that the Goods, Chattles, and Credits of the within named Deceased, who died on the 24^th day of August 1842, do not amount in value to the Sum of Four Hundred and Fifty pounds.
