The Will of William Grubb
I William Grubb Labourer of Loughton in the County
of Essex do make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner
following that is to say I give and bequeath unto my Executor Mr George
Gould who I hereby appoint as such fifteen pounds to be laid out under
his direction for the use and benefit of the Dissenting Baptist Church
and Congregation Loughton Essex I give and bequeath unto the Treasurer
for the time being of the Baptist Missionary Society ten pounds for the
use of the said Society Also I give and bequeath unto the Treasurer of
the Loughton British School five pounds for the use of the said School
the above legacies to be paid out of my personal estate As to All the
Rest of my property after payment of my funeral and testamentary
expences I give and bequeath the same unto my brother James Grubb my
sister Ann Brown and my nephew John Monk Elizabeth Monk and Ann Abraham
son and daughters of Richard Monk deceased that is to say one third to
my brother James Monk one third to my sister Ann Brown and the remaining
third to my nephew John Monk and nieces Elizabeth Monk and Ann Abrahams
aforesaid In witness whereof I have set my hand or mark and seal this
fifteenth day of August one thousand eight hundred and forty six _ The
mark of William Gould X
