I Ann Grubb of Caddington Green in the Parish of Caddington in the County of Hertford Widow being of sound mind memory and understanding Praised be God for the same remembring the Great Uncertainty of this present Life and the Certainty of my death moved with a desire to settle my Worldly Affairs do therefore make publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner and fform following (that is to say) ffirst I give and bequeath unto my daughter Ann Shatterton now the Wife of Walner Shatterton All that my Messuage or Tenement and Yard wherein there is a Well with the Appurtenances which I purchased of Mr Cook situate standing and being in Halloway Street in the Abbey Parish in the Borough of Saint Albans in the County of Hertford aforesaid and also all that my other Messuage or Tenement with the Houses Outhouses Yards Gardens and Appurtenances thereunto belonging situate standing and being at Caddington Green aforesaid wherein I now dwell and which I purchased of my late Son in Law John Mann deceased with the Appurtenances and Subject to the Mortgage I have made thereof and the Reversion and Reversions Remainder and Remainders of all and singular the said Premises to hold unto my said Daughter Ann Shooterton for and during the Term of her natural Life And from and after her decease I give and devise All and singular the said Messuages or Tenement and Hereditaments with their and every of their Appurtenances unto my daughter Elizabeth Mann Widow and Sarah Grubb and their Assigns to hold for and during the Term of their natural Lives and the Life of the longer Liver of them and from and after their deceases and the decease of the Survivor of them then I give and devise the same Messuages or Tenement and Hereditaments with their Appurtenances unto and to the Use of the Heirs and ASssigns of my said daughter Elizabeth Mann for ever Also I do hereby give and bequeath all and singular my Goods Chattels Rights Credits and Personal Estate whatsoever unto my said daughters Ann and Sarah to be equally divided between them Share and Share alike they paying all my debts except by Way of Mortgage and defraying my funeral Expences And I do hereby make and appoint my said daughters Ann and Sarah Executrixes of this my Will and I do hereby utterly revoke all former and other Wills by me made and do publish and declare this only to be my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal this seventeenth day of January in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred forty and two Ann Grubb
