     In the name of God amen and in the year of our Lord god 1557, I Richard Grene of the 'Hoole Mylle' parish of Dewsbury of perfect remembrance make this my last will and testament in manner and from following. First I bequeath my soul unto almighty God and to our Lady Saint Mary, to all the ....... company of heaven and my body to be buried at my .....church at Dewsbury. When it hath pleasesd almighty God to call me from my life natural then I divide my goods into 3, that is to say, one  part to my ....., the second to my wife and the third to my children. AND I bequeath unto Agnes my wife my lease and ... which I have taken of Mr John ..... and Mr Thomas ..... his son and heir. Item I bequeath unto my daughter Alice the remainder of my goods, chargeable with my just debts and funeral expenses made, I give unto Agnes my wife.  Whom I make my full executrix of this my last will and testament, in witness of the same Richard Dickinson, Thomas ..., John Nailor.
