Amen The fourthe daye of Aprill in the year of our lord god one
thousand sixe hundrethe and nynteene I Richard Gradell of Newton
am sicke in bodie but of good and p’fecte memorie thanks be unto
god doe make this my last will and testamente as in manner
followethe First I bequeath my soule into the hands of almightie
god my maker and redeemer and my bodie to be buried in the
parishe churche of Winnicke And for my wordly goods w’ch god
haith bestowed upon me It is my will and mynd to bestowe them
as hearafter followethe Imprimis to my godchildren everie one
twelvepence It’m I give to Richard Sorrowcould tenne shillings
And all the rest of my goods I give to Alice my wife my debts
and funeral expencs discharged Lastly I make and ordeyne my
true and lawfull executors of this my last will and testament my
welbeloved in Christ Alce my wife Raphe Sorrowcoyld and William
Devise whom I trust will see this my last will and testament
