The Will of Mary Gower
This is the last Will and Testament of me Mary
Gower of the Parish of Shenfield in the County of Essex Spinster ffirst
I direct that all my just Debts ffuneral Expences and Testamentary
charges shall be fully paid and satisfied and after Payment thereof I
give and bequeath to my Sister Sarah Gower the Sum of ffifty Pounds to
my Sister Amy Willey Widow the like sum of ffifty Pounds to Ann Brand
the wife of Edward Brand the sum of fforty Pounds to my Sister Alice
Yeats Widow the like sum of fforty Pounds to Charles fforster the sum of
Ten pounds to Ann Copsey the Wife of John Copsey the sum of Ten Pounds
to Susanna Thompson Widow the Sum of Nineteen Guineas and to Elizabeth
Willey the Sum of Ten Pounds and I give and bequeath all my household
ffurniture and effects whatsoever and wheresoever and all the rest
residue and remainder of my Estate and Effects to be equally divided
between my said Sisters Sarah Gower Amy Willey and Alice Yeats share and
share alike and I make constitute and appoint Mr Henry Wallis of
Brentwood Draper sole Executor of this my will and I give and bequeath
to my said Executor the Sum of ffive Pounds for his trouble and lastly
revoking all former wills I declare this to be my last Will and
Testament in Witness whereof I have set my hand this twenty seventh day
of ffebruary 1844 _ the mark of X Mary Gower
