In the name of God Amen. April 19th
1777
I Charles Goodman of the Parish of Llanelidan
in the County of Denbigh and Diocese of Bangor being of sound and
memory (blessed be God for the same) do make this my last Will and
Testament in manner and form following:
In the first place, I leave and bequeathe to
my eldest son John Goodman of Rhyd-y-Mar..ogin the sum of fifty five
pounds and to my son Charles Goodman of Pyllau Clai the sum of forty
five pounds. I likewise devise (desire?) and will a mourning golden
Ring to be presented and given to my son Godfrey Goodman Rector of
...eminerton in Glocestershire and that likewise a golden ring of
the same kind be presented and given to my youngest son Richard
Goodman now or lately living in Jamaica (?). I likewise give and
bequeath to my sister Susannah Goodman of Llanelidan the sum of five
shillings and likewise to my sister Hannah, the wife of John Jones
of Ruthin, Shoemaker the like sum of five shillings, I likewise
leave my nephew Simon Goodman Clerk of Llanelidan the sum of ten
shillings and six pence. Lastly I give and bequeath to my beloved
wife Jane Goodman all my household goods, implements of Husbandry my
livestock of cattle ...: My will further is that my said wife Jane
should leave and bequeath at her death to any of my children that
she should think fit the sum of twenty pounds and I nominate and
appoint my above named wife Jane Goodman to be sole executrix to
this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto
set my hand and seal this day and the year first above written.

On which day the within written Will was
insinuated proved approved and denied Valid in Common form of Law
and Admon of the Goods and Chattels of the within named Testator was
granted to Jane Goodman Executing named therein she being first
