I John Goodeson of Upton Place West Ham
Essex & late of Well Close Square Grocer do make my Will in
manner following I give & bequeath to my dear Wife Elizabeth
Goodeson all that my ffreehold Estate at West Ham Essex in my
possession & in possession of Mr Gorton To hold to my said Wife
for & during the term of her natural life & from & after the
decease of my said Wife I give & bequeath the same unto my Son
Major John Goodeson his Heirs & Assigns for ever & if my said
wife should hereafter marry again then I direct that the Rents &
profits of my said Estate shall be paid into her own proper
hands only & her receipt only notwithstanding such second
marriage shall be a good discharge for the same & the same shall
not be subject to the Controul of any future Husband and I give
& bequeath to my said wife Elizabeth Goodeson all the rest &
residue of my Monies Stock Tenements Goods Chattells & Effects
whatsoever & wheresoever & of what nature or kind soever To hold
to my said Wife Elizabeth Goodeson as her own Proper Goods Estae
& Effects for her support & maintenance & for the support
maintenance Education & bringing up of my said Son Major John
Goodeson I give & bequeath unto my Servant Catherine Thomas Ten
Pounds Payable in twelve months from my decease & a suit of
Mourning and I appoint my said Wife Elizth Goodeson & Joseph
Harrison of Suffolk Street Charing Cross Gentleman Executors of
this my Will In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand &
