The Will of William Goffe

In the Name of God Amen I William Goffe of Hook Norton in the County of Oxon Baker being of perfect mind & memory do make this my last Will and Testament as followeth ffirst I bequeath my Soul unto God that gave it me And as to what it hath pleased God to bestow on me as followeth Imprimis I give demise and bequeath the Yard Land which I purchased of Joseph Matthew to my beloved Son Richard Goffe and his Heirs for ever he paying six pounds a Year to his Mother during her Life Alsoe that part of the House that is not my Wifes Joynture My Will is that she shall have free liberty of the same during the term of her natural life then to my beloved Son Richard Goffe and his Heirs for ever Imp. As to my Personal Estate as followeth the best Bedstead Bed and Bedding thereto belonging I give to my beloved Wife also the Rent that may be then due upon the Yard Land Also I give to her two thirds part of my Goods for her Life the rest to my Son and his Heirs for ever Also I give to my beloved Wife what Horses Cows and Swine I shall dye possessed of also the Hay and Corn that is Unthrashed and the Crop that shall be growing in the ffield Also I give her three score Pounds beside the threescore Pounds that is part of her Jointure to be paid out of my Stock in hand as Money Corn Bread Meal and ffuell and if the same do not amount to the said Sum then the rest to be paid by my Executor hereafter named Also She shall have the use and Liberty of the Shop and the thing that belong to it for her Life Also my ffuneral Expences and Charges shall be equally paid by my Wife and Executor hereafter named Imp. All the rest and residue of my Real and Personal Etstae after the payment of all my lawfull Debts Heriotts and Funeral Expences and Legacies I give devise and bequeath to my beloved Son Richard Goffe and his Heirs for ever Also all Moneys that be due as Mortgages Bonds Bills Book Debts I give to my beloved Son Richard Goffe and his Heirs for ever home I appoint and make whole and sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament revoking and Disallowing all former Wills by me made In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal
