The Will of Christopher Gill

 

In the Name of God Amen I CHRISTOPHER GILL of Middleham in the County of York mason do make and publish this my last will and testament in manner following that is to say to my Dear wife DOROTHY GILL I give and devise all my real estate whatsoever and wheresoever To Hold the same to my said Dear Wife if she shall so long continue my widow and unmarryed but no longer and not otherwise And from and immiediately after the Death or marriage of my said wife I give and devise the same and every Part thereof to my two sons CHRISTOPHER and ROBERT GILL .... to be equally divided between them and to hold as tenants in common and not as joint tenants ... charged and chargeable with the payment of £100 to my daughter JANE GILL to be paid to her at the expiration of twelve calendar months after the decease of my said wife All my goods chattels and personal estate whatsoever I give and bequeath to my said wife absolutely for ever charged with the payment of all my debts and funeral expences And I do hereby constitute and appoint my said dear wife sole executrix of this my will and do publish and declare this to be my last will and testament 23 October 1776
