The Will of William Egerton Gell

 

This is the last Will & Testament of me William Egerton Gell of the Little Cloister Westminster Abbey I desire to be respectably but not expensively buried and should I die within twenty miles of London I request to be buried in the North Cloister where my ffather and Mother and other relations lie _ I desire my funeral expences to be paid within one month after my decease I desire also all my just debts (the amount of which will not amount to one hundred pounds)to be discharged without delay and after such several expences and debts are paid I give and bequeath to my dear wife Jane all my real and personal property of every kind and description whatsoever now in my possession or which hereafter I might have become entitled to absolutely for her use and to dispose of by will or any other manner she may think proper and I nominate and appoint my said wife Jane to be my sole Executrix of this my last will and testament Signed sealed published and declared William Egerton Gell as his last will & testament this fifteenth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty three in the presence of Thomas Higgs Thomas Alldridge and Rebecca Alldridge
