The will of John Garlick late of Blakesley
deceased. Proved 29 October 1821
Will
In the name of God, Amen.
I John Garlick of Blakesley in the County of
Northampton, being sick of body, but of
sound mind, memory and understanding do make
and publish this my last Will & Testament in
manner & form following
First I give and bequest to my daughter
Charlotte Barby wife of William Barby all
that is my house and garden and premises
thereunto belonging situate in Blakesley
aforesaid wherein I now live to have and to
hold, her heirs and assigns forever; subject
to and chargeable with payments hereafter
mentioned, that is to say that she do and
shall pay all any just and lawful debts;
unto my son Thomas Garlick the sum of five
pounds, unto my son Richard Garlick the sum
of five pounds, unto my daughter Jane Osborn
the sum of five pounds and unto my daughter
Elizabeth Woodward the sum of five pounds,
which said several sum I will and direct
shall be paid within twelve months after any
decease.
And lastly I do publish and declare William
Barby husband of my daughter Charlotte Barby
aforesaid sole Executor of this my last will
and testament, hereby revoking and making
void all former wills and testaments by me
heretofore made and do hereby publish and
declare this to be my last will and
testament.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set and
put my hand and seal this eighteenth day of
November in the year of our Lord one
Thousand eight hundred and twenty

Signed sealed and delivered published and
declared by the said Testator to be his last
will & Testament in the presence of us who
at his request and in his presence have
signed and declared as witness hereunto

On the 29th day of October 1821 William
Barby the sole Executor named in the within
will was well sworn then and faithfully to
fulfil the same according to law; and that
the Goods, Chattels & Credits of the within
named deceased do not amount in the balance
to the sum of twenty pounds
