In the Name of God Amen I John Gardner of the Parish of Wormley in the County of Hertford being in perfect health and sound mind do make this my last will and Testament ffirst I will that my hereinafter named Executors do see me decently buried in the same grave were my dear wife was buried and that Mr Chas Hollingsworth of Broxbourn be the Undertaker if living and that my Executors pay of all my just debts and also collect and receive all that may be owing to me from the benefit Society at the Golden Lion Hoddesdon to which I have a claim and also what may be due to as my dividends in London or elsewhere also to give up possession of my house and premises to my Landlord as soon as convenient after my decease because they have always been so kind to me and I will that my Executors be allowed all reasonable expences they may be put to in settling my affairs I give and bequeath to my friend Joseph Meering underbutler to Sir Abrm Hume of Wormleybury my Eight Day Clock and Mr James Clark of Amwell End my relation all my wearing apparel and all the residue of my Effects goods and chattels and money whatsoever and wheresoever unto Jane Tovey dauter of James and Else Tovey of Wormley and I hereby appoint and constitute Mr Richard Avis ffarmer and Mr William Wiseman Shopkeeper both of Wormley my Executors to this my said Will and I do declare this to be my last Will and Testament whereunto I have this day put my hand put my hand and seal in the presence of the undersigned Witnesses this fifteenth day of ffebruary in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty  _  John Gardner
