The Will of John Gadsby
In the Name of God Amen I John Gadsby of Ashby
Delazouch in the County of Leicestershire now living in No 115 Grays Inn
Lane in the Parish of St Andrews St George the Martyr Holborn London in the
County of Middlesex being of sound mind and memory do hereby make this my
last Will and Testament in the presence of the undersigned witnesses Mr
William Brightill and Mary Hannah Brightill his wife of the parish of
Clerkenwell and Mr Joseph Maynard of the Parish of St Saviours Southwark
After recommending my soul to Almighty God who gave it through the merit of
our Lord & Redeemer Jesus Christ do after defraying all my just debts &
funeral expences Give & Bequeath all my real & personal estate in all
property or properties whatsoever unto my dearly beloved wife & faithful
Partner through this life Mrs Mary Gadsby as above mentioned whom I do
hereby constitute ordain & lawfully appoint my whole & sole heir Executrix &
Administratrix of all my Property & worldly indowments whatsoever In
Testimony of which I do now below in the presence of the aforesaid Witnesses
now in the presence of each other set my hand this 12th day of August in the
Year of our Lord 1825 John Gadsby _ William Brightill _ Mary Hannah
