This is the last Will and Testament of me Robert Furlong of Cheshunt in the County of Hertford Plumber Glazier and Painter being by the Blessing of God of sound mind & memory I make my Will in form and manner following After my decease as soon as may be convenient I desire my Executors to dispose of the Lease of my house & the area adjoining tenements with their appurtenances together with the business stock in trade and all therein belonging also the whole of my furniture and effects (with the exceptions to which I have hereinafter alluded)The amount of the produce of which together with my ready money book debts etc after the payment of all those to whom I may be legally indebted together with my funeral & other necessary expences I desire may be equally divided share & share alike between my six children namely Murdoch Broomer, Elizabeth wife of John Cooper Jesse Josiah Emma Selina Widow of James Culver and Henry Horatio I give to Mary Ann Widow of Charles Crook and daughter of my late Wife a two leaf mahogany dining table a circular fronted chest of five drawers a swing Dressing Glass in a mahogany frame with three Drawers and a large table cloth I also give to William E Erith her brother a silver watch which was his father’s and which he wished when he left England for America might be given to his niece Jane Crook. And I hereby constitute and appoint my son Murdoch Broomer Furlong of Finchley in the County of Middlesex Plumber etc. And Mr Henry Blackford of Hackney in the same County Plumber etc as the Executors of this my last Will and Testament As witness my hand this Twenty third day of May One thousand eight hundred and fifty three_ Robert Furlong
