George Fryer of Chancery Lane in the County of Middlesex, Law
Sationer being of sound mind memory and understanding I do make a
publish this to be my last will and testament If I should die in
London or near thereto I wish to be interred in the same grave
wherein my late dead wife and daughters lie in the church yard of
Upton near Windsor Berks.......
Mr Thomas woodward late of
Sproughton in the County of Suffolk deceased the father of my first
wife... gave George Fryer £600 on the agreement that when george
died the £600 went back tot he Woodward family .. the £600 is then
divided up between woodward relatives ......
I give unto Peter woodward now
residing in Coatling Street, london all my freehold messuage in
Chancery Lane.....
unto Sarah Hewett of Windsor
the sister of my late dear wife the sum of one thousand pounds
[£1,000]
I give unto my brother
Christopher Fryer of Barningham in the county of York one of my
executors hereinafter named all my remaining freehold estate situate
in Chancery Lane aforesaid and Bell yard within the Liberty of the
Bells now in the possession and occupation of [blank] Flaxney?
Messrs Brook & Harper and Tigoje ? To hold to him his heirs &
assigns for ever
I give unto my nephew John
Fryer my late partner all that my leashold house situate in
Chancery Lane aforesaid where I have for many years carried on the
business of a Law Sationer to hold to him his execs etc for and
during the residue of the term I may have therein at my decease
I give to my cousin John
Fryer of Southampton Buildings the sum of fifty pounds

I give unto my esecutors and
trustees hereinafter named Isaac Everett of Banor? Street, my
said brother Christopher Fryer and my nephew the said John
Fryer the sum of fifty pound [£50] each over and above what I
have before given them provided they take upon them and act under
the Trusts of this my will and as to all the Residue and Remainder
of my estate and effects consisting of money in the funds ? and upon
bonds notes and other securities I give and bequeath the same unto
the said Christopher Fryer my nephew the said John Fryer
and the said Isaac Everett to hold ..... one thousand pounds
[£1,000] ... ? per cent bank annuities In trust to pay to or permit
and suffer Mary Gardiner of No 2 Trafalgar street Walwaorth
to receive and take the interest and dividends thereof for and
during the term of her natural life and from and after her death the
said sum of one thousand pounds [£1,000] to sink into and become
part of the Residue of my estate and effects and upon further trust
that they my said Trustees... do collect in ym debts and call in all
such sum and sums ... as may be die and owing to my upon mortgage..
and convert the whole of my stock in trade furniture books plate and
effects except such part hereof as I have hereinafter or shall by
any codicil ... give and dispose of, into money as soon as commonly
may be after my death... invest the clear residue of the monies ....
in the three per cent Consolidated Bank annuities...in addition to
what I may have in such funds.....
...to apply and divide the
same unto and amongst my said brothers Christopher Fryer and
William Fryer and my neice Mary Bulmer the wife of
John Bulmer of Lane House in the parish of East Witton Yorkshire
in equal parts share and pro portion within twelve months after my
death .....
