In the Name of God Amen
I William Fry, Citizen and Dyer of London being weak in body but of
sound and disposing mind and memory thanks to God for the same do make
this my last Will and Testament in manner following. First I commend my
Soul unto the hands of God that gave it me and my body to the ground
where it was taken to be decently interred at the discretion of my
Executors herein after named and as to my worldy goods I give and
dispose of then as follows. Imprinnis.
I give and bequeth unto Mr. WILLIAM COLEMAN that now works with me the
sum of five pounds.
I give and bequeath unto my maid servant MARY AUGER over and above what
I shall owe her at the time of my decease the sum of five pounds and
also my late wife's green and white silk gown and petticoat and the old
trunk that was Mrs. COLEMAN'S.
I give and bequeath unto my cousin THOMAS MANNING the sum of ten pounds
my best suit of cloathes my best coat my best perriwig two holland
shirts my best T------ and my pair of silk stockings and a gold ring
value of twenty shillings and over and above all this for his great care
of my business in my illness I give and forgive him the ten pounds he
now oweth me.
I give and bequeath unto my Uncle THOMAS MANNING' S daughter REBECCA who
was my wife's God Daughter her wedding ring now made into a mourning
ring.
I give and bequeath unto my Uncle THOMAS MANNING, my Aunt, his wife, my
couzon WILLIAM MANNING their son and MR. ROBERT HAYWARD JUNIOR, the
dyer, my cousin JOSEPH RICH and his son CHARLES RICH one gold ring each
of the value of twenty shillings apiece.
I give and bequeath unto my only brother JOHN FRY after my Mother's
decease all that tenament and the premises in which my mother and he
lives in the parish of Fivehead in the county of Somerset which I
purchased and also all my wearing apparel of all sorts ( excepting what
I have herein before given to my cousin THOMAS MANNING ) all the rest
and residue of my estate be it of what kind soever. And I give and
bequeath unto my loving mother JOAN FRY and my said brother JOHN FRY (
after all my just debts and funeral charges shall be fully discharged )
to be divided between them in one third part to my said Mother and the
other two thirds to my said brother.
And I do also now forth with make and appoint the abovesaid MR. HAYWARD,
my cousin, JOSEPH RICH and my cousin THOMAS MANNING joint executors of
this my last will and testament.
In witness of all which i have hereunto set my hand and seal the fifth
day of March amino domini 1730.
