The Will of Benjamin Fouracre

 

In the Name of God Amen I Benjamin Fouracre of Reading in the County of Berks Grocer do make Publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament in manner and form following (that is to say) ffirst I do hereby order my two daughters Philadelphia ffouracre and Elizabeth Bedwell to be paid the Sum of Ten Pounds each being the Sums of Money which were given to them by their Uncle Richard Knight deceased and deposited in my hands for their use Also I give and bequeath unto my said Daughter Eliza Bedwell the sum of ten pounds to buy her mourning Attire I give to my three Grandchildren Elizabeth Anna Maria and ffrancis Benjamin the Children of my said Daughter Elizabeth Bedwell the Sum of ffive pounds each which said Legacies to be paid to their Mother for their use in case of their Minorities whose receipt shall be a Sufficient Discharge for the same to my Executrix Also I give and bequeath unto my said Daughter Philadelphia the Sum of ffifty Pounds to be paid to her out of my Personal Estate hereafter mentioned Also I give to my said Daughter Philadelphia my two Silver Sauce Boats also to my Maid Servant who now lives with me One Guinea for a Mourning Gown in case she shall be living with me at my decease Also I give devise and bequeath all and Singular my Messuages Lands Tenements Hereditaments and Premises whatsoever and wheresoever unto my two Daughters Philadelphia ffouracre and Mary ffouracre their Heirs Executors Admors and Assigns for ever as Tenants in Common and not as Joint Tenants and as to all the rest residue and remainder of my Household Goods ffurniture Stock and Implements of Trade Book Debts ready Money and Securities for Money Chattels and Personal Estate whatsoever and of what kind soever undisposed of (after payment of my Debts Legacies ffuneral and Testamentary Expences) I give and bequeath the same unto my said two Daughters Philadelphia ffouracre and Mary ffouracre their Executors Admors and Assigns equally to be divided between them share and share alike and I do hereby Nominate Constitute and Appoint them my said two Daughters Philadelphia ffouracre and Mary ffouracre joint Executrixes of this my last Will and Testament and I do hereby revoke and make void all former Wills by me heretofore made In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal the Twenty second day of November in the Year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and Seventy Nine       B Fouracre
