The Will of Owen Foulkes late of Tyny-ffynnon Farmer deceased. Proved
the 20th day of January 1841.

This is the last Will and Testament of me Owen Foulkes of Tyn y ffynnon
in the Parish of Bettws Abergele in the County of Denbigh Farmer. I give
and bequeath to my son Gabriel the sum of Three pounds, To each of my
sons William, David and Thomas the sum of Four pounds and To my Daughter
Ann the sum of Ten pounds: which said legacies I direct my Executors
hereinafter named to pay as soon as they conveniently can within twelve
calendar months after my decease. I give and bequeath to my daughter
Gwen the wife of Daniel Williams of Llysfaen the Sum of Ten pounds. And
I do hereby direct and declare that the said Legacy of Ten pounds so
given and bequeathed to my said daughter Gwen is not to be raised or
payable until my Executors shall be effectually released and discharged
from the payment of all and every sums and sum of money for the payment
of which I have become answerable as bail for the said Daniel Williams
And I further declare that the said bequest shall absolutely cease and
determine in case I or my executors or either of them am or are
compelled to pay back sums or sum of money or any part thereof.
I give and bequeath to my son Owen the Clock now in the kitchen at Tyn y
ffynnon aforesaid and any one of the Milch Cows belonging to me at the
time of my decease which he may fix upon. As to all the rest residue and
remainder of my Goods Chattels personal Estate and Effects whatsoever
and wheresoever I give and bequeath the same / subject to the payment of
my just debts funeral and Testamentary expenses and the before mentioned
legacies / unto my sons John and Owen equally to be divided between them
share and share alike. I appoint my said sons John and Owen joint
Executors of this my Will. I revoke all former Wills by me made and
declare this to be my last Will and Testament. In Witness whereof I have
hereunto set my hand and affixed my Seal this Twenty ninth day of
September in the year of our Lord 1837.

the presence of us who in his presence at
his request and in the presence of each
other have subscribed our Names as
Witnesses hereto the words “within twelve
calendar months” having been first
inserted.

There personally appeared the within named Owen Foulkes the surviving
executor and took the usual oath of an executor and that the personal
estate and effects of the Testator did not amount in value to One
hundred pounds – before me – [Charlescott Lusmore]?
