The Will of Thomas Fletcher

 

This is the last will of me Thomas Fletcher of Rokeby in the County of York, farmer, made 25th March 1820.

To my wife Elizabeth all the household furniture, beds, bedding, plate, linen and china.

To Robert Fletcher of Blakeston, County Durham, farmer and  James Peacock of Barnard Castle, Innkeeper, all my estate, farming stock , cattle, dairy utensils and implements ... upon trust to suffer my said wife Elizabeth Fletcher and son John Fletcher to receive the rents of my real estate in Staindrop during the natural life of my wife  ... and my son John to use and possess and enjoy my farms at Rokeby and Barfoot [Barforth] and at the decease of my wife .... to raise the sum of £60 to pay the same to my daughter Mary Fletcher.

I give and bequeath all the remainder unto my son John Fletcher.

At the decease of my wife the farm at Staindrop to be sold to raise the sum of £260 and pay my daughters Elizabeth Fletcher, Ellen Fletcher, Margaret Fletcher the sum of £80 each and to  Mary Fletcher £20 and I give and bequeath to my son Robert Fletcher my real estate .....
