This is the last Will
and Testament of me
James Fermer of ffitzroy
Street ffitzroy Square
in the County of
Middlesex Esquire and
which I make and
acknowledge this second
day of May in the year
of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and forty
two I give and bequeath
unto Anna Jones now
residing with meal the
household furniture
family and other plate
china linen and other
effects now being or
which may be in or about
my dwellinghouse in
ffitzroy street
aforesaid or elsewhere
belonging to me at the
time of my decease as
likewise my Carriage and
horses and my Library of
books to and for her own
use and benefit But
subject nevertheless to
the payment thereout of
all my just debts
funeral and testamentary
charges and expences and
the expences of proving
this my Will And as to
All the Residue of my
Estate and Effects of
whatever kind or
description the same may
be I also give devise
and bequeath the same
and every part thereof
unto the said Anna Jones
her heirs executors
administrators and
assigns according to the
nature and tenure
thereof respectively And
I hereby nominate
constitute and appoint
William Willoughby
Gunston of Piccadilly in
the County of Middlesex
Esquire and Henry Martin
of London Street
ffitzroy Square
aforesaid Gentleman
joint Executors of this
my Will And I hereby
declare that my said
executors shall not be
answerable or
accountable for any more
monies than they shall
actually receive nor for
any involuntary loss or
damage which may happen
to my Estate and Effects
nor the one of them for
the other of them but
each of them for his own
acts deeds receipts
payments and wilful
defaults only And also
that it shall be lawful
for them my said
executors out of any
monies which shall come
to their or either of
their hands to deduct
and retain to and
reimburse themselves and
each of them himself all
costs charges and
expences which they or
either of them may pay
incur or sustain in or
about the execution of
this my Will or in any
manner incidental
thereto And lastly I do
hereby revoke all former
Wills by me at any time
heretofore made and
executed and declare
this only to be and
contain my last Will and
Testament In Witness
whereof I have hereunto
