In the name of god Amen I John Fairhurst
of Newton in Makerfield In the County of Lancaster and p’fect
memorye blessed bee god for it doo constitute ordaine and make
this my Last will and testem’nt in manner and forme following
First I bequeath my sole into the hands of Almytie god my
Creator Trusting that through the merits bitter death and
bloodye of my Saviour Jesus Christ he will receive the same and
my bodye to bee intered in adecent mann’r in my p’decessers
customed usual place of buriall And for such wordlie goods as
the lord hath endowed mee withall it is my will that they bee
dispossed of in mann’r and forme follwing first it is my will
that my funerall expenses and debts be discharged out of my
whole estate and the remainder there of except such legacies as
be hearafter expressed I beequethead and give unto Ann my nowe
wyffe Item I give unto Elizabeth my daughter Iligetimate ten
shillings and I give to Thomas Stirripp sonne of John Stirripp
one Chist standing in the house Item I consitute ordaine and
make Thomas Jacksone and my nowe wyffe s’le executors of this my
last will and testim’nt In witness hareof I now have set my

pounds for the payment of forty shillings wherein the said
testator John Fairhurst standeth bound unto William Fairhurst

whereas I Thomas Jackson of Chorley in the County of Lancaster
yeoman amm made constituted and ordeyened coexecutor with Anne
Fairhurst of the last will and testament of John Fairhurst her
husband as his said will dated the second of June 1645 Nowe know
you that for dyvers good causes we herein to im...... to have
rennounced and revoked and by this pr’sent do renounce and
revoke intairly the interandling w’thth’ estate of the said John
Fairhurst but also the ex...con of the said will and do heirby
release and quite claime unto the said Ann Fairhurst all my
intearst tytld or right whatsoever unto and in the goods or
Chattills of the said John Fairhurst by reason of being soo
nominated executor as aforesaid And for witness therof hand and
