This is the last
Will and Testament of me Richard Eustace of Aston in the County
of Oxford - Farmer. I appoint John Fox of Aston aforesaid Farmer
and my son Richard of Kelmscott in the County of Oxford Farmer
and William Attwood Rigden of Bampton in the County of Oxford
Gentleman Trustees and Executors of this my Will. I give and
bequeath unto my dear wife Lucy Eustace the sum of one hundred
pounds absolutely also seven articles of my household furniture
and effects as she may choose such choice to be hers in the
first place And all the remainder of my property whether real or
personal and whatsoever and wheresoever I give devise and
bequeath unto my Trustees aforesaid to hold the same upon trust
as soon as conveniently may be after my decease to realise the
same or such part thereof as shall not then consist of money
with power for this purpose to sell the same or any part thereof
and subject however as is hereinafter mentioned to divide the
same equally between all my children except my son George who
has died previous to the date of this my Will or any issue of
his share and share alike And whereas I have advanced to my son
Richard the sum of four hundred pounds and to my son in law
Augustine Gillett husband of my daughter Fanny the sum of three
hundred pounds and to my son in law Vincent Wallis husband of my
daughter Betsy Jane the sum of three hundred pounds I hereby
declare that the said sum of four hundred pounds so as aforesaid
advanced to or for the benefit of my son Richard and the sum of
three hundred pounds so as aforesaid advanced to or for the
benefit of my said son in law Augustine Gillett and the sum of
three hundred pounds so as aforesaid advanced to or for the
benefit of my said son in law Vincent Wallis together with
interest on all those said sums respectively at the rate of four
pounds per centum per annum for the term of three years (except
in the case of the advance to my said son in law Vincent Wallis
on which advance I direct that no interest shall be charged
whatever) unless such sums respectively or interest shall have
been paid during my lifetime shall be taken by my said son
Richard as to the sum advanced to him in part satisfaction of
his share under this my Will and by my daughter Fanny Gillett as
to the sum advanced to my son in law her husband Augustine
Gillett in part satisfaction of her share under this my Will and
by my daughter Betsy Jane Wallis as to the sum advanced to my
son in law Vincent Wallis her husband in part satisfaction of
her share under this my will And accordingly that the residue of
my real and personal estate shall be divided among whom the same
is directed to be divided by this my Will in such manner that
the shares of the said Richard, Fanny and Betsy Jane shall be
less in amount than the shares of the other children by such
paid sums respectively. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set
my hand to this my Will this thirteenth day of June One thousand
eight hundred and ninety six.
