In the Name of God Amen I Shadrack Ennew
of the Parish of West Marsey in the County of Essex Oyster
Dredger being of perfect Mind and Memory make this my last Will
and Testament ffirst I desire to be decently buried in the
burying place at West Marsey or where the Lord please that my
body shall fall to be at the discretion of my Executors what
please God to dispose me with I bequeath and dispose of in the
following manner Imprimis to my beloved Wife Bridget Ennew I
bequeath the one half of all my Substance in every particular
whatsoever pertaining to me money or moneys worth which shall
belong or pertain to me at my death after my just Debts and
ffuneral Charges are paid Item to John Ennew Son of Joseph Ennew
I give and bequeath the Sum of fifty Pounds to be paid him at
the Age of Twenty One Years Item to Sarah Harris Wife of James
Harris the Sum of Twenty Pounds to her Item to my Brother and
Sisters I bequeath the Residue and Remainder of my Goods and
Chattels and all that is left to be equally divided between them
every One equal and equal Share Alike And I do hereby constitute
and Appoint my Wife Bridget Ennew and John Cheek and William
Haward to be Executors together of this my last Will and
Testament requesting them to Execute the same according to my
true intent that is to Sell all off as soon as possible and what
there is may be divided and without any reserve In Witness
whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal the Eighth day of
January in the thirteenth Year of the Reign of our Sovereign
Lord George the Third by the Grace of God of Great Britain
ffrance and Ireland King Defender of the ffaith etc. And in the
Year of Our Lord God One thousand Seven hundred and Seventy
