This is the last Will and Testament of me Edward Ellis late of Shotley in the County of Suffolk afterwards of Harwich in the County of Essex but now of Uxbridge in the County of Middlesex Waterman I give and bequeath unto Henry Ridley of Ipswich in the said County of Suffolk Liquor Merchant his executors and administrators the sum of eight hundred and seventy Pounds Stock in the Navy five Per Cent now standing in my name in the books of the Governor and Company of the Bank of England and all other my Estate and Effects which consist of Personalty only whatsoever and wheresoever upon Trust that he the said Henry Ridley his Executors and Administrators do after payment of my debts and ffuneral and Testamentary expences convert the residue of property if any into Money five per cents and to suffer the same with the said eight hundred and seventy Pounds to accumulate until my Son Joseph Ellis attain the Age of twenty one Years or die and if my said Son live to attain the said Age of twenty one Years then upon trust that he the said Henry Ridley his Executors and administrators Pay the dividends and Interest of the said Navy five per cents with its accumulations if any unto my said Son during his natural life and from and immediately after the decease of my said Son upon further trust that he the said Henry Ridley his Executors and administrators pay transfer and assign the said principal Navy five per cents with its accumulations if any unto amongst and between James Rolfe and Joseph Rolfe the Sons of James Rolfe of Ipswich aforesaid Labourer by my Sister Elizabeth and Joseph Ellis the Son of my Brother Joseph Ellis of Great Yarmouth Mariner share and share alike and in case of the decease of either of them the said James Rolfe Joseph Rolfe or Joseph Ellis leaving lawful issue then it is my Will that such issue shall be entitled to its Parents share and I hereby make ordain constitute and appoint the said Henry Ridley sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament and hereby revoking all former Wills by me at any time hereto made I do declare this to be my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I the said Edward Ellis have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand and Seal this seventeenth day of June in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixteen _ Edward Ellis
