The Will of Daniel Eastland

 

In the Name of God Amen I Daniel Eastland otherwise Daniel Devol Onion or Ingan of Woodmansterne in the County of Surrey Yeoman do make and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner following ffirst I desire to be buried at the discretion of my Executors hereinafter named in a devout manner and that my ffuneral Expences and my Debts be first paid Also I give and devise all that my ffreehold Estate House Lands Barns outhouses Stable Orchards Backsides heredits and appurts thereunto belonging situate lying and being in the Parish of Woodmansterne aford unto my eldest Daughter Elizabeth and to Thomas Eastland her Husband and to their Heirs for ever ffirst to the said Elizabeth and Thomas Eastland for and during the Term of their natural lives then from and immediately after their decease to any of their Children lawfully begotten which they or the Survivor of them shall think Proper if they shall leave more than one Child and for default of such Heirs then to my youngest Daughter Jane and the Heirs of her Body lawfully begotten and for default of such Heirs then to the right Heirs of the said Thomas Eastland for ever also it is my desire that no Timber upon the said Estate be cut for sale unless it be in a state of decay also I give and bequeath to my said youngest Daughter Jane the Interest of Three hundred Pounds at the rate of ffive Pounds per Centum or ffifteen pounds per Annum to be paid her half yearly immediately after my decease for and during the term of her natural life but if my said youngest Daughter should marry a Man having Property of his own of equal value to the said Sum of Three hundred pounds then I give and bequeath the Sum of Three hundred Pounds after her decease to the Heirs of her Body lawfully begotten also I give and bequeath unto my wife Judith the Sum of ffifteen Pounds per Annum to be paid her quarterly immediately after her decease for and during the term of her natural life or so long as she shall remain a widow All the rest and Residue of my personal Estate whatsoever and wheresoever as well the reversion of the two aford Annuities I do give and bequeath to my eldest Daughter Elizabeth and Thomas Eastland her Husband whom I do hereby Constitute and Appoint Executrix and Executor of this my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this Nineteenth day of March in the Year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and four    Daniel Eastland
