This is the last Will and Testament of me
Sarah Earlam of the Parish of Ombersley in the County of
Worcester Spinster being mindful of my mortality and being of
sound mind memory and understanding (Praised be God) Do make
publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner &
form following ffirst I direct that all my just Debts ffuneral
Expences and the Charge and Expence of proving this my Will and
all other Charges and Expences that my Exor and Executrix
hereinafter named shall or may be at in or about the due
execution hereof shall be paid and discharged then I give and
bequeath to my Kinsman William Cook of the Parish of Ombersley
the Sum of ffive Pounds to be paid to him within six months next
after my Decease I give and bequeath to my Kinswoman Mary Pardoe
the Wife of Thomas Pardoe Shoemaker the Sum of ffive Pounds to
be paid to her within six months next after my Decease I give
and bequeath to Elizabeth Pardoe Daughter of the said Thomas and
Mary Pardoe and my Goddaughter the Sum of ffive Pounds to be
paid to her within six months next after my Decease I give and
bequeath to my Kinswoman Ann Ainge the smallest of my two Beds
to be delivered to her immediately after my Decease I give and
bequeath to my Neighbour Susannah Galt Widow my Plumtree Table
to be delivered to her immediately after my Decease I give
Devise and bequeath to my ffriend Mary Amphlett Daughter of John
& Elizabeth Amphlett ( who have always been very kind and
attentive to me)All the rest of my Monies Securities for Money
Plate Goods & Chattles and Personal Effects & property
whatsoever or wheresoever and of what nature or kind soever not
herein bequeathed that shall remain after Payment of the above
mentioned Legacies and ffuneral Expences And also I do hereby
appoint the said Mary Amphlett residuary Legatee and do hereby
nominate constitute and appoint my ffriend Richard Amphlett of
Uphampton in Dorset aforesaid Gentleman and the said Mary
Amphlett joint Executor and Executrix of this my last Will and
Testament and I direct that the one shall not be accountable for
the Acts of the other and I will and desire that my said ffriend
Richard Amphlett will accept of and retain the Sum of two pounds
for his trouble and as a token of Gratitude for the manifold
kindness that I have received of his ffamily and I do hereby
revoke and make void all former and other Will or Wills or
Codicils by me at any time heretofore made and I publish and
declare this to be my last Will and Testament In witness whereof
I the said Sarah Earlam the Testatrix have hereunto set my hand
and Seal the 7th of January in the Year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and seventeen The Mark of Sarah Earlam
