The Will of William Dracutt

 

In the Name of God Amen I William Dracutt of Turnmill Street in the Parish of Saint John Clerkenwell in the County of Middlesex Victualler being in an ill state of health but of sound mind and memory praised be God and considering the uncertainty of Life do make and ordain this to be my last Will and Testament Imprimis I direct that all my just Debts due from me at my decease shall be discharged with all the Speed that conveniently may be and subject thereto I give devise and bequeath unto my dear Loving Wife Jane Dracutt all my Houses Messuages or Tenements whatsoever with the Appurtenances in Turnmill Street aforesaid and near Adjoining And all my Goods Chattels Ready Moneys Securities for Money Debts and Effects whatsoever and wheresover which I shall dye any way Possessed of Interested in or Entitled unto To hold unto my dear Wife Jane and her Executors Administrators and Assigns for ever to her and their own Use and Uses she and they thereout maintaining and bringing up my Dear Daughter Ann Dracutt And I do hereby name and appoint my said Loving Wife Jane Dracutt to be Sole Executrix of this my Will hereby revoking and making Void every or any Wills and Will by me heretofore made In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal the twenty eighth day of June in the twelfth Year of the Reign of his Majesty King George the third And in the Year of Our Lord One thousand seven hundred and seventy two Wm Dracutt   (Attestation Clause)   James Linton _ Thomas Mills _ Robt Morgan   Proved at London 3 July 1772   PCC Prob11/979
