In the Name of God Amen I Aaron Dovey of Dudley in the County of Worcester Currier being weak in Body of sound and disposing Mind and Memory praised be God do make and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner following that is to say And ffirst I will and direct that all my just Debts ffuneral Expences and the Expence of Proving this my Will shall be first paid of and satisfied And then I give to Elizabeth my loving Wife all and singular my Household Goods and the Sum of one hundred pounds Also I give to my Son in Law Mr Benjamin Pickrell the Sum of one hundred pounds to be paid him by my Executrix hereinafter named within twelve Months next after my decease he the said Benjamin Pickrell at the time of such decease giving to my said Executrix Satisfactory Security to pay to her or her Assigns during her Life the Yearly Sum of five pounds by half yearly payments And as to my Stock and Utensills in Trade and all other my Personal Estate and Effects of every kind and nature as soon after my death as conveniently may be my Will and desire is shall be sold and disposed of for the best Price that can be got and the Money arising therefrom together with my ready Money and Debts to be got in shall be put into the hands and from time to time be placed out at Interest in the Names of my good ffriends Mr James Hancox Mr William Parkes and Mr Mark Bolton of Dudley and Mr Benjamin Cardale of Stourbridge and in the Hands or Name of the Survivor or Survivors of them and the Executors or Administrators of such Survivor or in the Names or Name of such of them as will be pleased to accept of the same and act therein as Trustees And my Mind and Will further is that the Interest of the same Money so by me directed to be placed out shall be paid to Elizabeth my said Wife and her Assigns for and during her Life and from and after her death shall pay Interest thereof into the Hands of my Daughter Mary the Wife of the said Benjamin Pickrell for her Life whose Receipt and Receipts shall be a good and sufficient discharge for the same notwithstanding her Coverture And from and after the death of my said Wife and Daughter and the decease of the Survivor of them Then my Will further is that all the said Money so to be placed out at Interest as aforesaid shall be paid in equal parts or Shares to and amongst all and every the Child and Children of the Body of my said Daughter begotten or to be begotten that shall be living at the time of her death But if it shall happen that my said Daughter shall have no Child nor Children living at the time of her death In such case my Will further is that my said Trustees shall pay the said Money with the Interest or Proceeds thereof to and amongst all and every of my own Brothers and Sisters Children that shall be then living Share and Share alike And my Mind and Will is that the respective Person and Persons nominated by me a Trustee shall be charged and chargeable with and for his and their own particular As to Receipts and Disbursements and not the one of them for the other as for the Act Receipt or Disbursement of the other and that they or any of them shall not be chargeable or lyable to make good any loss or Damage that may happen by reason of the Insolvency or Insufficiency of any Security or Securitys for Money or otherwise relating to the Trust unless the same shall happen by his or their own wilfull default or neglect and that they and every of them shall be allowed all their reasonable Costs Charges and Expences whatsoever and also reasonable Satisfaction for any pains by them or any of them to be taken in or about or concerning the Premises or the executing and performance of this my Will And I do desire my said ffriends James Hancox Mr William Parkes Mark Bolton and Benjamin Cardale to be Overseers of this my Will desiring their best Advice and Assistance to my said Wife and Daughter in the managing and ordering of their concerns And my Will further is that if my said Daughter shall dye leaving any Child or Children in his her or their Minority that then the Interest of the said Money intended for him or them shall be applied for the better education or placing them out to Trades or Employments during their Minority or shall pay the whole to them at their respective Ages of one and twenty Years as my said Trustees in his or their discretion shall think proper And I do hereby make Elizabeth my said Wife sole Executrix of this my Will and revoke all former Wills by me made In Witness whereof I the said Aaron Dovey have hereto put my hand and seal the twenty third day of June one thousand seven hundred and fifty Aaron Dovey

Memorandum Whereas I Aaron Dovey of Dudley in the County of Worcester Currier did the twenty third day of June last past make and duly execute my last Will and Testemt and thereby made Elizabeth my loving Wife sole Executrix thereof but considering the trouble that will attend that Trust I am desireous to make another Person an Executor with my said Wife and for that purpose I do hereby make and appoint Elizabeth my said Wife and Mark Bolton of Dudley aforesaid Baker Executrix and Executor of my said Will and I do hereby declare this Codicil to be part of my said Will and which I have caused to be thereto affixed and that it shall be deemed and taken as part thereof In Witness whereof I have hereto set my hand and Seal the first day of July 1750 Aaron Dovey
