The Will of John Dendy

In the Name of God Amen I John Dendy the younger of Capell in the County of Surry Yeoman being of sound mind memory and understanding do make and Publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament in manner and form following ffirst and Principally I recommend my soul unto God my Creator hoping through the Merits of my Saviour Jesus Christ to have Pardon for my sins and my Body I commit to the Earth to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executor hereinafter named and as to such worldly Estate with which it hath Pleased God to bless me I dispose thereof as follows I Give Devise and Bequeath all and singular my Messuage and Messuages Lands Tenements and Hereditaments with their Appurtenances whatsoever and wheresoever and also all my Monies Goods Chattels Stock and Personal Estate unto my father John Dendy of Capell aforesaid Yeoman his Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns for ever he paying thereout my Just Debts and ffuneral Expences and I do hereby Nominate Constitute and Appoint my said ffather John Dendy sole Executor of this my Will whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the tenth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Eighty One John Dendy Junior
